Function With the GentleWatt App, you control compatible smart sockets A8T (indoor) and A6T outdoor. Choose between LOW, MID, ≈100%; the mode-dependent cutoff prevents full 100% charging. After charging, the app automatically and reliably disconnects the charger from mains – ensuring safety and protection against overheating or short circuits. Works optionally without cloud thanks to Tasmota integration. The app is free of charge for owners of our hardware. Alternatively, operation is possible without the app using on/off sequences; the LED indicates status.

How the GentleWatt Charging Optimization App Works

The GentleWatt App controls compatible smart sockets A8T (indoor) and A6T outdoor. You select one of three charging modes LOW, MID, ≈100%; a mode-dependent cutoff can stop charging before 100%. After charging, GentleWatt automatically and reliably disconnects the charger from mains – ensuring safety and protection against overheating or short circuits. GentleWatt is Tasmota-compatible and works without cloud. The app is free of charge for owners of our hardware. If desired, operation is also possible without the app: modes are selected directly on the socket via on/off sequences, with the LED showing active status.

The app provides power monitoring to track consumption. After charging, the connected device is fully disconnected from power, reducing the risk of overheating. Note: Timer and notifications are available in the Tasmotrol App. Please observe the technical data of the sockets and the maximum power rating of connected devices. Compatible with smartphones, tablets, laptops & e-bikes as well as other lithium-ion devices.
